Dear GMAT Community,
Two days ago I retook the GMAT, my first score was 710(Q50 V36). On the second actual exam I felt like I did extremely well, however, ended up with a terrible surprise in a verbal part, Total 680 (Q50, V32) and IR8.
Small background of my preparation: I completed all the Manhattan Verbal Guides, Critical Reasoning Bible, GMAT 800,
OG 2015, All Kaplan CATs (last three I scored 750), four GmatPrem CATs including Exam Pack 1. On practice CATs (GmatPrep and Kaplan), when I was preparing for the second time I scored solid 40+ on verbal, I solved all the
OG questions with 90% accuracy.
After I finished verbal part I started completing personal information section and the time suddenly ran out, that confused me and I suspected that something wrong has happened. After that I saw my result and was shocked. It would be logical to cancel 680(Q50, V32) when you have 710(Q50, V36), however, I did not cancel my score because I was sure that there was an error. So my question is: was there any case when unofficial score was different from the official one?
I asked the same question from the GMAT Services Team, and waiting for their answer. In case there is no chance that my score would be increased, is there any possibility to cancel my score? I took GMAT two days ago.
Hope you will help me with this issue! Kind regards)))
