I vaguely remember that R2 or R1 notifications were delayed this year by days or weekds due to increased volume of apps, could someone confirm?

Yes , R2 I know for sure was delayed for about a month! I didn't get my interview until 3 weeks past the deadline.

I just remembered, when I was at Cornell I asked Michael in the admissions office when decisions are released and he mentioned that they release them usually late in the day so he is not bombarded with calls that entire day....

Well I can tell you that if I did not have my computer my day would be more productive. I have a feeling that those who received emails from Fedex are in and we are out....oh well maybe a waitlist?

I'll use this only to bring my expectation down a notch.
