CUNY Hunter College MS/CPA program- applicants talk to me!

Has anyone applied to/considered Hunter College for their MS in Accounting program?
I just took the GMAT a few days ago and completely BOMBED it. 390/800 = nothing to write home about. The bright side is, I'm not going to graduate until Fall 2009. I have some time to prepare for the test again and try to figure out where I had trouble.
Hunter is not a business school; it's a standard liberal arts and sciences college that's part of New York's City University (for anyone reading this who's not a New Yorker/not familiar with it.) Thus their admissions requirements are not as stringent as say, Baruch or Pace.
Still, I just want to know if anyone who applied/considered/got accepted into their program can tell me about it. Do they place a huge emphasis on the GMAT score? If so, I take it they won't heavily judge you if you waited a while then did better the second time?
I want to know because I'm almost done with my BBA; there's at least 33 more credits of accounting and economics pre-reqs that I do NOT need to graduate and if I have no chance of getting into the program (otherwise I can be out by Spring '09), I'd rather not waste time and money on these extra classes!
