DO I need a prove? [#permalink] New post 23 Apr 2008, 09:27
While writing a personal statement, I have mentioned my sports activities. I was the captain of the cricket team at a local club but the problem is that this club is not an organized one, so I don't have any certificates to prove that I had been the captain for my team. So should I still mention that in my personal statement?

most schools won't verify extracurriculars like that, so as long as you have some of your teammates vouch for you when necessary, it's ok to not have "proof". :)

Proof aside, 'real' experience in your ECs will allow you draw more heavily from them and thus make your essays that much stronger. So don't worry about proof. If you have really had those experiences and they are/were meaningful to you, trust me, they will come out in the essays :)
