Re: DS/Triange From GMAT Plus... [#permalink]
Wait a little longer for others to attempt... I've not touched geometry and GMAT for more than a year now, so I could be rusty...

C.

1) x = 90

We only know one side and also know one angle. Not suff

2) AB + BC + CA = 24
Hence BC + CA = 16

Not suff

Together we know the the triangle is a right triangle
Hence BC^2 = AB^2 + CA^2
=> BC^2 - CA^2 = 64
=> (BC-CA)(BC+CA) = 64
From 2

(BC-CA)16 = 64
Hence BC - CA = 4

Equating both the equations we get BC = 10 and CA = 6
