Since 2, 13, 24, and 57 all have a remainder of 2 when divided by 11, we see that 185 must not have a remainder of 2 when divided by 11.

All the solutions above are correct, here can be an alternate approach...

Given Option - 2 must be divisible by 11

(A) \(\frac{2 - 2}{11}\) = Remainder 0

(B) \(\frac{13 - 2}{11} = \frac{11}{11}\) = Remainder \(0\)

(C) \(\frac{24 - 2}{11} = \frac{22}{11}\) = Remainder \(0\)

(D) \(\frac{57- 2}{11} = \frac{55}{11}\) = Remainder \(0\)

(E) \(\frac{185 - 2}{11} = \frac{183}{11}\) = Remainder \(7\)

Thus, Answer must be (E)

NOTE: this is one of those questions that require us to check/test each answer choice.
In these situations, always check the answer choices from E to A, because the correct answer is typically closer to the bottom than to the top.

For more on this strategy, see the following article: https://www.gmatprepnow.com/articles/han ... -questions
