Unfortunately, I do believe you need to retake the GMAT to boost the Quant score. I know this seems crazy, but these programs are so quant based that they need to know that you can handle the workload. Many programs will use your top Quant score and top Verbal score, regardless of whether you achieved these in the same test, so if your Verbal score drops a bit next time, you'll have nothing to worry about.

Thanks Jennifer.

Do you think this is the case even if I were to enroll in a graduate level Calculus class this fall to include on my app? "Take a quant class instead of spending more time on the GMAT" seems to be the consensus among other admission consultants, so I'm interested in your reaction to that plan, as the contrarian in the group.

Thanks

I'm sorry to dissent but I have to stick with my original opinion: a calculus course will only help alleviate a GPA issue not a GMAT issue. You need to score above the 75/80th percentile in the Quant section of the GMAT.
