Extracurricular Activites Measure Up?

Hi Linda,
Thanks for all of your great advice on this forum. I consider myself lucky in finding this vast wealth of information!
Although I could ask you questions all day on my chances of getting into the elites, I'll restrain myself and keep it to a simple one.
Regarding extra curricular activities, is it important to be doing something specific, or will involvement in any type of activity be acceptable? I currently train heavily in martial arts and write/manage several open-source software projects, and I'm an Eagle Scout, but I have a bad feeling that because i'm not doing something more traditional for community service, these won't be enough. It seems like other excellent canidates are doing much more than I am in this department.
Am I simply being overly anxious? Should I get on the phone with a community service center ASAP?
Best Regards and Thanks,
The IT Guy
