I've taken a few GMATPreps and have scored in the range of 680 ~ 760.
Although I am ecstatic, I cant help but wonder how I REALLY am doing. In each exam, I have seen repeats and I try to redo them as if I've never seen the problem by analyzing each answer choice.
So, how can one really guage his/her performance based on these results?? After seeing such results, I feel that I am ready to retake...but, I dont want to be disappointed come test day
I have taken each of the GMATPrep tests 4 times. I see two main reasons for taking GMATPrep tests as many times as possible:
1. Uncover additional problems. When you take an adaptive test like the GMAT Prep, you are sure to see new problems each time you take it. Assuming your number of correct answers is increasing, you will access questions that are likely more difficult than you answered during the previous test. If you compare this with re-doing question you have already answered from the
OG (where you are guaranteed not to see new problems), it's a no-brainer.
2. Simulate the GMAT. The more familiar you become with the GMAT CAT, along with the types of questions asked, the better.
With that said, it's important to still recognize that at least a PORTION of your score increases are due to the skills and abilities you are acquiring. Therefore, I'd like to congratulate you on the score increase. Keep up the good work, and I'm certain you will accomplish your goal.
