Congrats on the jump.. I'm not saying it's super easy/common, but this is more evidence that standardized tests can be beaten. In a little over a year of light study, way back in high school, I gained 410 points on the SAT over my PSAT. Of course the PSAT was sat for without having taken geometry, but there was improvement across the board.

Congrats on the phenomenal improvement!. 660 is indeed an excellent score.

I think you should share your experiences. More than the final 3 digit number that you see on your screen, your path to success is more important. A jump of 170 in 2 months is more commendable than a 7XX scored the first time. A lot of people (including me when I scored 6XX), don't post the experiences the first time or until they think they have done a good job. So, your experience will be valuable to many people here!

Awesome job! Your story is truly inspiring and I would love to hear the details of your strategy. I am in your same shoes (after the 1st test) and would be thrilled with a 660 as well.

I hope to post a similar score after my 2nd attempt. Again, congratulations!!

Congratulations,
But isn't it strange that with Q48 and V36 you gained only 660? AFAIK, you should have gained at least 680.

P.S.^I also scored 660(Q50, V31).

Good point. The closest score I found to k12345's was a 710 - Q49 V38, so the Q48 V38 should be at least a 700 I'd think...

i got the same feeling, because i want to improve my general score, i got
Q48 V28 and 620 so when i looked at your score 660 with Q48V36 I was like : DAMNED ! no need to retake the test because I am definitely not going to score over 36 in Verbal and there are definitely chances that I will score lower than 38 in Q so :?

this score is not realistic i think

Yes do share your experience with us please. :) Not everybody have 700 in the first time or ever. What did you do differently for the two tests to result in such different scores has got to help a lot of people.

k12345, congrats on the great improvement! I'd love to hear how you approached the quant section. Improving from 34 to 48 is a great accomplishment in a short period of time. Please do elaborate if you have a chance.
