Hi Prem,

You have a decent profile. Your work experience and GMAT Score are good to apply for top MBA Programs. You haven't mentioned about your extracurricular and academics. Since your gegraphic preference is India, considering your profile and requirement I would suggest you to target B-Schools like ISB, IIM, XLRI, Greatlakes and S.P.Jain.

I would also recommend you to gain some leadership experience at your workplace to get into above listed B-Schools.

You may also gauge your chances of getting admission to top business school by trying this amazing tool https://bit.ly/1C9o2Md

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Thanks MBA Decoder, that was really helpful.

During my search, I found some more schools such as :

1. Woxsen school of management, Hyderabad (claims avg ctc 15 lakhs)
2. Entrepreneurship Development Institute, Ahmedabad

Can you provide your view about these schools as well.

Thanks

Prem

I have not heard of these, so I will not comment.
In my opinion, you should be very sure about the reputation of any of these b-schools. Th MBA brand will remain with you for lifetime, and you don't want to go to a place which has no standing a couple of years from now.

Thanks for your replies.

As I am hearing a lot about Great Lakes, I want to know is it a good choice?
I came to know from some consultants that GLIM, Gurgaon is not very good, though I am considering their PGPM at GLIM, Chennai..

Hi there,

Just to add to the excellent discussion so far, I would make sure you hone in on one career path for your short-term goal. You want to be focused in this regard. Further, this will solidify your narrative and help you pick the best school for your future. Take a look at our point of view on selecting schools/programs. Hopefully this helps! Best of luck!

Re: GMAT 700 : B-School selection [#permalink]
About trimming to a specific short term goal, my thoughts go like this.

Business Analytics has been attracting me for the last 2 years and I feel quite clear in my head that I would enjoy a role of Analyst and would like to grow in the field.
Marketing also stems from my interest of Business Analytics and as it deals more with people, it can be more interesting. But, I have NO marketing experience so far.

PGPM looks good when I think specifically to increase my salary and leave the burden to decide on a goal to a later period i.e. while pursuing the MBA.

Entrepreneurship has been on the back of my mind since my college. But, I want to first be sure of my business knowledge and know the waters well before taking in a dive.

Any thoughts to align my thoughts to a more practicable solution are most welcome. :-D
