Gmat 720(QA50,VA37),Indian Male IT 5.5EXP, which USA School? [#permalink]

Hi,
Could you please evaluate my profile below
Academics: GMAT: 720 Grad: Engineer . 82.30 % 12th: 85.7% 10th: 86.5%
I have a total of 5.5 years of IT work experience (2 year international experience, currently in USA), where - Currently I am 'team leader' of a team of six employees spread across three India locations. - Have been a regular trainer, conducting multiple training of batches of 15-20 employees for the company. - Am involved in the hiring process of the company, and have visited Engineering Grad schools for hiring on company's behalf.
I am targeting IT and IT consulting profiles after MBA graduation, and since I am looking for a profile change, not an industry shift.
Considering I am smack in the middle of much famed Indian male IT demographic, please suggest on the following:
- Which U.S. schools should be considered within my profile and GMAT score range? - I have very good relations with the U.S. based client I am working with, Would evals from the client help me build my case? - Would retaking GMAT help?

You are a member of a very competitive candidacy class so i would recommend applying to those schools that are most open to Indian IT applicants. Each year we help many people with similar backgrounds to yours gain admissions to top American programs. From our experience, I would look at the following programs: Chicago Kellogg Cornell Michigan Duke UCLA Yale If you are willing to expand your list outside the list of premier programs, the you might want to also consider: CMU - Tepper Georgetown Texas Good Luck Kimberly Plaga Senior Admissions Consultant Manhattan Review

You are right that you are smack dab in the middle of the hugest toughest pool. As is things look good for you, but then again they look good for LOTS of candidates. The question to answer, to discover your chances at top schools is: What am I offering them? What do I have that is unique? And if you don't yet have the answer it is very important that you find it! Yes, you have a good basis, but at this point, the difference between you getting in and you not getting in is your STORY - how passionate is it? How believable is it? how interesting and unique is it?
