Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Please provide any insight. So I took my test last Monday after studying religiously for about 2 1/2 months. My resources were a Kaplan Math book and
OG, Paper Tests, Kaplan CAT,
Manhattan Gmat CAT. I did about half of the data sufficiency and wordproblems in the
OG
I took 13 practice test scores as follow.
MGMAT 1) 610
Powerprep 1) 610
Powerprep 2) 650
Kaplan 1) 520
MGMAT 2) 630
Kaplan 2) 560
Paper test 630
MGMAT 3) 660
MGMAT 4) 630
Kaplan 3 550
MGMAT 5) 600 (took at 1:00 am)
Paper Test 690
kaplan 4) 580
My Verbal was always between 38 - 42 and my math was always between 37 - 44. My goal was 650+...I figured if i could achieve 42 on the math my verbal bring me in the 650 range. Have been reading these posts for sometime and most people seem to think Kaplan is alot harder and that you tack about 60-100 points on your score. I felt in range.
Test day...feel great....taking the test...no surprises...completely comfortable with it....thought the math was extremely easier than kaplan and very similiar to powerprep...thought I did great.....english was a little harder than powerprep but i felt i had exceeded my goal of 650. Counts scores absolutely....hit the button expecting 680....almost vomit when i see 580......Q 32 V38. I dont understand...I had to guess on the last 5 questions of Q because of time but i thought maybe i gotten 6 wrong prior to those last 5. Sorry for such a long post. I plan on taking the exam on Dec 18th. Any suggestions on why i could have done so poorly on the Math. On all the practice test i was able to predict my score (withing 20 pts) after i finished this time i was off by 100 points...did i rely too much on the way kaplan and
manhattan gmat score their cats...usually 10 - 13 wrong Q problems is betwwen a 37 -40...PLEASE HELP..thanks.
