Soon we might be able to add our contributions on GMATClub to our "extra curricular" and "community" sections of our MBA applications :)

First the black scholes model and now this. Things are just getting more and more confusing today...
However any comparisons to rhyme is a first class compliment, so thanks Fig.
Now all I have to do is get into a first class MBA school (gulp).

He's also a great contributor on the GSB admit forum. I guess my classmates know him before the core starts. Congrats! I envy....

There was a brief insert in the Japan Times quarterly MBA edition back in early 2005, although I can't seem to track down the article. I think that was when and where I first heard about this magnificent place. :-D

I think the B-school world is not ready yet to consider an online forum to be a "proper" extracurricular. Maybe in 10 years time, but not just yet.

We need to wait until the Gen-Yers get to the top adcom positions. Until then, the baby boomers and Gen-Xers won't have it. (Disclaimer: Gen-Xer myself)

Agree. Even though the moderators and some other members have really gone out of their way to help, I would be surprised if any school would consider participation on GMAT Club as serious community service. A member who is currently at Wharton wanted to put "GMAT Club moderator" as community service. I advised against it. I think mentioning something like this under community service looks somewhat desperate.
