I am starting this thread because i really need to seek some advice from the experts here, HAAS alumni or not, to assess my profile and give some idea as to whether i should pursue what i am targetting for, rather what are my chances if I am trying to get an admit into the HAAS EWMBA Fall 2012. Based in bay area, not having a choice to move (house, mine and hubby's job), and a strong desire to do an MBA, Davis or Santa Clara part-time are my only other 2 choices (backup), the executive MBA is out for me as my 2 yr old keeps me busy otherwise. So in case you think there are any other decent courses which i should be targetting for, please suggest. Here is my profile:
1. Acads: Undergrad-Civil engineering from good indian university -2.7 to 3.0GPA -need to calculate how indian transcripts relate to US system, Masters of Science in Civil Engineering-top ranking US University-3.4GPA
2. GMAT: Not given yet, planned for Sept 2011, just gave a GMAT Prep-1 Q45 V38, Total 680, absolutely needed: 700+ and Q48+
3. Work Exp: Working in civil infrastructure, oil, energy and earthquakes since last 6 years-post Masters, managing mid-sized (120k types) projects since last 3 years, i think i can manage decent recos from 2 supervising people
4. Extra-Curric activites: Not many, I need to get some volunteering exp, plan to do bone marrow drives, and volunteer in charity events, any suggestions what clicks for HAAS.
Do you think HAAS will even consider my app, I really need some advice here as i am losing hope after reading the HAAS FT applicants forum for 2011, you guys have such glorious profiles!
