Just back from the testing center... Totally disappointed.
Total 690 - Q48/V36
****
Well my journey started with the 1st GMAT-prep test, the only thing i knew at that time abt GMAT, well yeah was its name, of course. The score was 600.
Subsequently, the next 3 results when i did the 1st prep test again were 730-770. So far so good.
Last Sunday, 1 trial for GMAT-prep 2 - 750: i know some verbal qsns were from the
OG books, so don't count much, but got some confidence to get 700++, frankly speaking i aim for 750.
And doomed...
I know i shot myself with the Q, always get 50-51 when i do mock tests; today lost 2min for the stupid drain-out pen when i reached Q20++, and might be a few min 'coz earlier i still struggled with it. Should change it earlier. Anyway, i was consumed by 2 word problems with all the lengthy wordings. Wrong strategy. Blame myself. So if you find out your pen sucks, pls change it right away. I hate the stupid booklet and the pen. Why don't they give papers and pencils instead.
Verbal - hardly you can tell abt it, i think. You feel easy, probably because you are at low bin, or you don't even recognize you are wrong. Well, don't need to mention abt it. Result showed.
*********
Enough for my stupid background. Need your helps to advice how to shoot the Verbal up to 41-42 range. Q, i can kill it myself, need to practice more...
During my last 3 months - Verbal: I practiced
OG (orange and purple books), did GMATClub 6 tests; trying out the SC1000, around 20 sets of CR1000. I also read those online notes by Sumit, Spiderman.
Should i redo all of this or you have any advice to practice? Thanks in advance guys...i think i really need to boost up my Verbal score by 5-6 points
Well and good luck for those are waiting for test day.
