The last 30 mins the site has been inaccessible.

First order of business - we flogged our System Administrator, but then as he was begging for mercy, it appeared that our host (which hosts 15.7 million websites) was down (http://www.theplanet.com/about/).

This was a perfect storm outage - their ticket system was down, their phone lines were down (after numerous attempts I was able to get a ring, but then was promptly transferred to a fax), and so on.

Their sales portal kept working flawlessly though - I should probably find out who they host that site with and switch hosts.


That's the news of the day.
