How to improve quant in a week from q44 ? [#permalink] New post   22 May 2012, 15:27
Hi all,

My exam is in a week and today I did my 1st GMAT Prep exam to see whether to postpone or not.. I got a 720 (q44, v45).

I know this is probably impossible but I would dearly like to try raise my quant score from q44 to q46-47. Is this possible in a week? I haven't practiced that much so I could potentially do loads of questions - what should I concentrate mostly on? I did the last 100 PS questions on the OG - shall I just work through lots of questions or try and learn basic theory better?

Any ideas on last week quant cramming would be very much appreciated.

As you mentioned, one week is not much time. I wouldn't do loads of math questions, as you could burnout right before the exam. If you want to focus on a particular question type, then identify your weaknesses in math and work on that. Practice with some more OG questions and finish the second GMATPrep test. But remember to take a day or so off right before the GMAT. You seem to be in good shape!

Do you have any timing issues in the quant section ? I mean do you generally struggle to finish the quant section of the test ?

Yes in the 2 mgmat cats i did, i dis not manage to finiah quant

in yeaterday's gmat i hurried on last 4 and missed out on the last one
