One my first GMATprep test ever taken before prep I scored a 35...I got a 25 on the GMAT Verbal. On my manhattan tests I was hitting 45.

I think you should practice with the SC1000 and CR1000 questions. Go through them until you start getting 9 out of 10 of them correct.
