Hi All,
I am a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of chartered Accountants of India. I have also cleared CFA (USA) - Level 1 and have done a course in financial modelling.
I have worked with KPMG, India for 19 months with their risk advisory team. The work involved process reviews and process improvement.
I had a strong liking for finance from the start but could not get a job in finance in 2012 ( after I completed CA) due to bad market conditions. So, I joined KPMG.
But, I realized that I could not continue doing internal auditing for my entire life and that I have to be in hardcore finance field.
I have a good understanding of accounting, valuation and Corporate finance concepts. I also, Undertake my own equity research analysis and make reports.
In India, bulge bracket and mid market investment banks mostly hire from top 10 MBA Institutes.
Can anyone guide me as to how do i break into Boutique, mid market investment banks or even get an opportunity for an interview?
I plan to do my MBA in 2015 or 2016.
Thanks,
Harish
