Really? Well when it comes time to do the application give me a heads up because after all my research I feel like I have Stern figured out pretty well in terms of what they're looking for (personality, personality, personality) so I can offer some tips on the feared "creative expression" essay that might be helpful.

In addition, I have started creating a google calendar which will have the deadlines for the top 25 programs.

I have uploaded it with Columbia's deadlines and will continue adding more dates as and when they come out.

I used a similar calendar for the last application season and found it very helpful.

Search for 'DJM's MBA' on google calendar and you should be able to add it.

Getting an early start is a great idea. I definitely wish I would have started earlier. I had a bunch of stuff that prevented me from applying R1, and everything worked out great in the end but having all your eggs in the R2 basket is nerve wracking.

Johnny.

Me too! Just cos I so want to hear what you did.

I will never forget seeing mine, sat on the interview table as I walked in. Excellent unsettling techniques (if you didn't know it was going to be a prep'd interview especially so, but, hey, I did my research...).

I think you should all apply 09. Me, Johnny or Standard (i think it was Standard) could conceivably interview you. heh.

3underscore - Interesting yours was on the table, my interviewer definitely brought mine up, seems like they really take a lot of interest in that "essay." I'm surprised more schools don't have a similar "essay," it really gives you a chance to show them a lot.

Have you heard anything from Stern about us needing immunizations? I haven't heard anything.

Nothing on immunisations. probably more something I will get landed with than you.

That essay was sat there (considering it was an A3 thing of many features and some slaving, I could hardly miss it). I agree that the creative essay can swing a waitlist/interview decision at Stern - they definitely like that side of people's characters.

I still believe what I wrote on the thread about the essay - I guess you may be better on how to pitch an "essay" answer, rather than an object d'art

You'll definitely need to show some sort of immunization docs. I remember having to trek over to the student health center and get a tetanus shot because I couldn't prove I'd had one in a while.

I believe you can't register for classes until that's done (I could be wrong though)

Hi guys,

As an international student, I have already received an immunization form from NYU Stern. They asked me if I had taken the MMR shot (measles, mumps, and rubella).

Regarding the third essay, I believe it's the perfect opportunity to show a different perspective of your application. You can do a great job even if you do not use creativity. For instance, mine was a simple written essay.

Regards
