I've downloaded a few idiom lists from various sources, including here, and have found that a some of the idioms listed do not match. For instance, one list says that "distinguish X from Y" is the correct idiom and another says "distinguish between X and Y" is right. Another example is one list says "compare to" describes unlike things and "compare with" describes like things. I then was reviewing another sentence correction/idiom guide, and it explains it in the exact opposite manner. This does not help with my studying and get more and more confused... besides the MGMAT SC guide, what would be the best way to solve this problem? I do NOT want to be studying wrong material.

I realized the same thing in my studies. I kind of gave up and just went through all the OG guides and made a list of the idioms GMAC asks.

i think the material posted here will inevitably contain some mistakes - i personally tend to make mistakes when i take notes or make lists simply because I am tired or accidentally got distracted by something. I thing OC and the GMAT books of your choice should be the main material to use. However, a lot of the lists and materials posted here are PURE GOLD so thanks guys for making such a great effort!
