Does anyone have any suggestions on improving skills for idioms?

thanks for all your help

There is an idioms excel posted here somewhere. Also try the MGMAT SC book. Its pretty good.

I dunno bout u, but MGMAT's "extraction method" doesnt really do it for me. But the book has a long list of common idioms that has helped me tremendiously.

I suggest you at least familiarize yourself with them, if not memorize them.

I, personally, think that the "extraction method" is as dumb as Princeton Review's "Joe Bloggs" concept.

Agreed. I think MGMAT got lazy at the end of the SC book. Of course people don't want to have to memorize all those idioms written down in the SC book.

Honestly though grab some note cards, takes ya bout 30min to write em all and presto. Review them every night or every other night, takes ya bout 5min.

You will rarely have any more idiom troubles after doing this. Spot Extraction was such a waste.

O ya one more tip. On the front of the note cards don't write the whole idiom. For example: On front of note card write: Between X .... On Back write: ...and Y.

Another example: Determined by. On front write: Determined...
on back write: ...by.

Hope this helps.
