ok,in order not to be complainted later, i post my explanation as well :twisted:

Let x, y be the work/ day done by a boy and a girl respectively
have: 12x+16y= 1/5 and 13x+24y=1/4
find x, y and substitute into the equation: 7x+10y=?
get the result= 24/200 ---> the days require blah blah is 200/24= 8.333333

B)...

12b+16g=1/5
13b+24b=1/4

solve for b and g...1/100...1/200...7/100+1/20=1/x...solve for x
