I am changing my ans to C.

In A there is a split infinitive. It should have been continue to rise sharply.

a. If present metal prices continue to sharply rise,
c. Should present metal prices continue their sharp rise,

Because of the split infinitive in A. Not a major flaw, I admit, but it is the last straw that breaks the ETS back  .

C should be the answer. All other have awkward construction.
