Dnt know where to place this but i found this part of Gmatclub a right place to put up some key points that may help you all.
Started preparing for Gmat around January last week and landed up in GMATCLUB arena straight away based on advice of one of my senior (of course he has appeared for GMAT and scored high 700s).
Only one week into it i was feeling depressed as never before. Dont know what these funky guys at GMAC expect from us innocent people. Should we kill ourselves or what??
Almost every second question i landed up with seems to be coming straight from mars or venus. No clues nothing. Life has become an integer to me and i am looking for tracing out inferences of each and every statement my boss puts up to me. KUDOS are like the only happiness that I get sometimes.
Anyways just realised a great deal with my First encounter with GMAT Prep yesterday. Scored a great 740 on that with just 1.5 months into it. Was that in dreams. No, not all. It really did happened. I still have about 2 months to go for my actual face to face with the real beast.
So why am I writing this all, you all may wonder. Well, since you all have given a lot to me i thought to share some key points with you. It would be an effort worth made if it were to assist you in getting your dream score.
1. Dont get depressed. You might wonder everyday at Gmat club that you are unable to do problems that are posted on the forums. No worries. Just think of the point that most of the problems that are posted here are the queries/difficulties faced by others who are preparing along with you. Obviously the easy stuff has already been scrapped out. So even if it seems difficult dont worry because it is difficult and thats why it has been posted.
2. Before you start a fight out with RC or CR remember that your vocab base is strong enough. Understanding and reading are things of distance if you can not make out the meanings of the words. Remember atleast 2 options in the answer are generally way offtrack and can be eliminated within 10 seconds.
3. Sentence correction poses a headache to all. But there is a key point to note here. As heared from others (those who have appeared and Gmat mentors) its almost certain that almost no gmat sentence correction problem would have a single error to work out. There would atleast be two. Make it a point and practice that you apply the set rules in these problems and dont just solve on the basis of what seems correct to your ears.
4. For QUANT be well versed with Number properties, Inequalities and Modulus. That would cover most of it.
5. Reading comprehension - Remember this is not a treasure hunt where you would read a question and hunt for the teasure in the Verbal jargon. We call it reading comprehension because it needs comprehension of the stuff we are reading. Refer TOMMYs notes to RC at

https://gmatclub.com/forum/verbal-rc-help-30247.html6. Be smart. Be a leader. Make schedules and stick to them. Its very simple that if you cant follow your timelines and plans than be assured that you would not be a manager that Bschools or Corporates are looking for.
7. Remember this is an internation exam and you are competing with the best in the world. Take this as a challenge that you are also a top league material and worth a million. Go and prove to the world that you deserve the best.
8. As said by all a billion times PRACTICE A LOT. Remember that even born talent such as little master Sachin has to practice a lot to keep abreast with the competition.
9. Make GMAT your first love. Keep aside your GFs for a while (even though they might teach you managerial skills such as Financial management, Stress Management, Time Management, Crisis Management amongst other for free !!!)
Take GMAT as your step towards SUCCESS.....
