Dear forum members,
I started my GMAT preparation around two months back and took my first
MGMAT CAT yesterday. I scored a 640 (Q: 44, V: 34). I am wondering how to improve my quant score (Verbal too, but SC is my problem area, so its better defined). A review of my incorrect Quant answers shows that most wrong questions are in the 600-700 range. There is no specific problem area, i got wrong answers across the board, from number properties to work problems to Geometry. A few silly mistakes, but most wrong answers were for questions that I was unable to solve.
Books used for preparation:
-
OG 11: Completed PS, CR, RC. Midway with SC, have not started DS
-
MGMAT - all the 5 quant books, and SC
- Powerscore CR bible.
I am planning to take my GMAT test around the 2nd week of January 2011. I'd like to bump up my score to 48 range. Its been around 10 years since i got out of school. I was good at math in school, but i'm rusty now. Given this, i would greatly appreciate any suggestions on how i can improve my quant score. Would the Math challenges help here? I have heard about Jeff Sackman's total gmat math book. Is this helpfull?
