In the xy-plane, line L passes through point (2,2). If the product of the x-intercept and y-intercept is negative, which of the following cannot be a point of L? I. (-10, 1) II. (10,5) III. (10, -2) (A) Only I (B) Only II (C) Only III (D) I and II (E) I and III

If 60 students took a test and the median score was 80, which of the following must be true? I. At least 29 scores are greater than 80. II. At least 30 scores are equal to or greater than 80. III. At most 30 scores are equal to or less than 80. (A) I only (B) II only (C) III only (D) I and II (E) I and III

If the product of x-intercept and y-intercept is negative, then the slop of that line must be positive. Slop (m) = (Y2-Y1) / (X2-X1) I) (-10, 1) and (2,2), m = (1-2)/(-10-2) = -3/-12 = 1/4 This can be a point of L II) (10, 5) and (2,2), m = (5-2)/(10-2) = 3/8 This can be a point of L III) (10, -2) and (2,2), m = (-2-2)/(10-2) = -4/8 = -0.5 This cannot be a point of L
The answer is C.

Let's assume the possible scenario. All 60 students score 80. I) At least 29 scores are greater than 80. False, because everyone scores 80. II) At least 30 scores are equal to or greater than 80. True, because 60 students score 80. III) At most 30 scores are equal to or less than 80. False, because 60 students score 80.

First one its C => explanation : consider y=mx+c =>Xin = -c/m ,Yin= c => product of two,say,p= -c^2/m => p is -ve => m=+ve also 2,2 lies on the line y=mx+c => 2=2m+c =>m=c-2 / 2 => p=-((2 *c^2)/(c-2))=-ve => c-2 >0 => c>2
now consider I,II and III substitute these values in y=mx+c ,for III
-2=10m+c => c= -2-10m since m>0 c here is -ve which is not possible hence it cannot be a point on the given line
IMO C
Second question B is answer II says : At least 30 scores are equal to or greater than 80.
which means automatically median is 80
