Re: Is Integer N even? [#permalink]
Agree with all. I bet the question you posted was an old one from Stolyar  Exponents and mods are his specialty. Some more fundas:

0^0 is undefined
0^x = 0
x^0 = 1
LCM(a,b) * GCD(a,b) = a*b
Sum of first n positive consecutive integers(you may know this by now): n(n+1)/2

Re: Is Integer N even? [#permalink]
1. N=0,1; Hence, not A
2. N=-1,0,1; Hence, not B
Both are still not sufficient to determine a unique value of N. Hence (E).

Paul I am assuming here you also mean sum of consecutive integers. If so I think the average * number of terms is another of expressing the formula?! I am correct? :? :?: :!:
