Kaplan GMAT Qbank

Hi Guys,

I was wondering about the Qbank. I found this a useful resource studying. The only thing I would say I find it hard to relate my score on the Qbank to how well I could do on the exam potentially. I have not yet taken a practice test and thought that would be pretty useful.

My question would be: What hit-ratio should one be aiming at to get around 700 on the GMAT. I am averaging around 85% (have taken about 700 questions). On the hard questions I am at around 78%, on the medium ones around 90%...

Hit ration means nothing b/c there is no way to guage how tough the questions are. Don't worry about hit ratio, and only think about your scores when you take practice tests. Kaplan's practice tests are very accurate, so if you want to know where your scores are landing, take practice tests. Question banks will never accurately predict scores, b/c the actuall GMAT is adaptive, Question banks are not.

Hi Giogio,

It is hard to relate those quiz scores to real test scores, unfortunately--though your performance is really good, I can't give you anything better than a guess. Best bet: take a practice test! The quiz-banks are great for content knowledge, and for practicing pacing, but it's the practice tests that are designed to be calibrated to produce accurate scores.
