Thanks for reminding me of Kellogg's supply chain strengths--I stand corrected. You obviously do have leadership experiences though nothing devastatingly powerful. I'm concerned that the semi-self-employed status could hurt you. However, your profile has no major red flags, so you should feel free to apply to Kellogg as a longshot. Emphasize the leadership and everything that's unusual in your profile.

Thanks Paul. Why is is that semi-self employed status would hurt my chances? If anything, I was thinking that such a status would help me distinguish myself from the competition since I have unique experience of contract acquisition and negotiation.
Besides, I think I have shown the intent for entrepreneurship during this experience.

I agree that your experience in contract negotiations and acquisitions is a positive, but being IT consultant/contractor is a very common applicant background, and I think contract consultants have a certain "temp" stigma that permanent staff people don't have, unfairly or not.
