What was exactly written in the mail of the last review ? (I don t find it anymore)

Are we going to get an answer by the 23th ? Are some people going to be removed from the waitlist (ding) ? Will we have to wait an extra 10 days to get an answer ? Some of you mentioned the 10th of sept they will let us know for the deferred admission ? some mentioned the 25th of sept?

I am a bit confused :?


PS: Can someone explain me the word "DING". I know what it means but where does it comes from ?

hey praman
in the last wl update they didn't clearly state when they give us the next update..obvioulsy program starts this monday so they have to get back to us (u will only get admitted if students didn't show up for classes and spaces accordingly become available)...either they ding you or they ask you if you want to be considered for the next year's intake.....

I think it's time now to congratulate the folks who will join the LBS 2012 class and think about LBS 2013 class or other options :)

Guys,

Do you know how many people have been offered deffered admissions in the previous years? Do you think that could be going throughout the whole year again.. I mean waiting to hear on deferred admission potential results?

nobody received any communication from lbs? i supposed that they will touch base with us today...saying that they might consider us for the 2013 intake...hurray :-(
although we still might hear something tonight....

Guys the class of 2012 Orientation was today. At best now its class of 2013 unfortunately :(

it seems that they are starting to eliminate the wl at other univerisities where the classes have already started (nyu).....
i wish i could be more optimistic :-(

Do you mean to say NYU has started to eliminate? Or is it about LBS? Now that orientation has started its unlikely to get an offer only 1/2 people may get before the start of the class next week.

i indeed was speaking about nyu as they follow the same time frame....

in older threads lbs seems not to make a lot of offers in the end phase for the ongoing intake (in our case mba 2012)...they seem to make some offers though for the next years intake ..

I received on 1st of September an email asking to state my interest until 3rd September, if I'm still interested to be considered for place in the 2013 class.

Woo-Hooo!! I'm in too - got the email message yesterday!

Alas - it came to late :evil: , no point for me to wait another year and already committed the full tuition amount for Oxford SBS, so I'll decline the LBS offer and go to Oxford! :)

Waitlist guys, I'm glad for you that you're accepted for LBS 2013 class, hope u'll have a great time there! :)
