Linda,
Please evaluate my profile and help me with my selection of business schools.
Male/34/Chinese citizenship/US perm resident
7+ years working exp in US pharmaceutical industry/currently a Team Leader in clinical data analysis
GMAT 710 (Math 51, Verbal 34) GPA around 3.6/4.0
Earned both MA and MS in econ and statistics from US grad. school.
I want to change my career to financial industry. Have keen interests in I-banking and equity research. Enrolled in CFA program (Chartered Financial Analyst) and now a Level III candidate.
My target schools are- Columbia, NYU Stern, Wharton, Duke and Chicago
I have two concerns:
1. Is my age a concern for Adcom?
2. Is my Gmat score kind of low for these schools? Do I need to retake it?
Overall, what are my chances for these schools for a Finance concentration.
Thanks a lot.

Your verbal score will be of mild concern; your overall score is not a concern.
Your age per se is not a concern, but the realism of your goals given your age may be of concern. Most IB's do not want to hear 36-year olds for entry level positions. Please see
