Would it help if I told you that I am in the EXACT same boat? Just bombed in October and am sitting again a week after you.
To motivate myself, I just bought an online prep course which starts in January. There is such a thing as fiscal motivation! Leverage it against yourself in such a way that you can't afford to do badly. No money? Borrow from loan sharks, mean ones, and add an extra dimension of fear to the motivation! (Just kidding obviously).
The point is, do what you can to get yourself going again. There are many many ways to motivate yourself. Another way is to start telling friends and family that your gmat is at the end of March and that you would love to get into a good MBA. Just doing this will motivate you to do well so you can make your friends and family proud.
Some others:
- Print out some pictures of the schools you want to go to and put them on the wall in front of your study area. Make it your desktop background too.
- Read the amazing motivational debriefs on GMAT Club. You're not the first to feel like this.
- Realise that the GMAT wants you to feel defeated before you even take it, so dissapoint it.
- Your GMAT may be used as a criterion to assess your candidacy for some jobs AFTER your mba.
- You probably won't even get into that interview if you don't do well in your gmat (vicious circle) so... go study!
- You've probably done much harder exams in the past, this will be a piece of cake.
- Adopt this mantra to help focus your energies: GMAT be thy mother, GMAT be thy father, GMAT be thy God.
- You're competing with tens of thousands of people who are taking the GMAT in March. Guess what, they want to go to the same schools as you and have already started studying their asses off.
Good luck man!
