Hi Alex,

I recently gave my GMAT exam and was quite shocked to see my AWA score. Retaking GMAT just to improve my AWA will be a huge undertaking for me as I have a full time job and a family. Please let me know how serious is the setback.

Also, considering my profile, do you think the schools mentioned below are realistic or stretch for me.

Demographic: Indian Male
Age: 33 years
Occupation: IT Architect. Experience 11 years
GMAT: 700 (Q48,V38) AWA 4.0
Undergrad: B. Tech Comp Sc. (75%)
Target Programs: EMBA\Part time @ Tepper, Fuqua, Haas, Darden, McCombs, Sloan
Post MBA: Career progression in Strategy\Technology.

Thanks in advance.

Don't bother retaking the GMAT. You'll be fine. Adcoms don't really care about the AWA all that much, because it's essentially graded by a bunch of hourly workers (college kids and other part-time folks) based on a cookie cutter formula. Adcoms never really knew what to do with the score, so they basically ignored it.

In any case, you should be in range for the EMBA/part-time programs on your list. Just do the best you can on the applications and you should be competitive. Good luck
