Mark: Everyone who was a fighter pilot during the Korean War suffered battle fatigue
Harry: That is untrue. Many veterans of the Korean War who were in the infantry had an acute psychological reaction to their wartime experience
Harry's response indicates that he interpreted Mark's remark to mean that
A) fighter pilots are more likely to have suffered battle fatigue than any others
B) only those who were fighter pilots suffered from fatigue
C) battle fatigue is a mental rather than physical reaction to stress
D) flying fighter planes was more stressful than being a foot soldier

Another tricky question!
I was debating between B and C.
I would go with B, could some one explain
why C is less preferable than B?

I'd go with C on this one. Harry misinterpreted Marks comments as, only fighter pilots suffered, and that Fatigue is psychological. Otherwise, why would he give an example of psychological reaction?

C cannot satisfy the required conditions because there is nothing in the statement to suggest a disagreement about the nature of battle fatigue

I initially chose B, then changed my mind.
Harry's response appeared to address acute psychological reactions to wartime experiences. So, I figured that the answer had to address more than fatigue. I think I totally missed the point on this question.
Could anyone go through their reasoning on the other answer choices (C is already explained)? Thanks!

The question in this example requires careful reading. It asks you what Harry presumes Mark meant. Answer option A and D cannot satisfy the required conditions because they compare such items as the likelihood of battle fatigue and differences in job stress. Nothing in the statement suggests such comparisons. E cannot satisfy the required conditions because it is Harry's position, not Harry's interpretation of Mark's position.
