MBA Class of 2017 Applicants

Hi all,
It's been couple of months since I started my full time MBA at Manchester Business School. My experience so far has been excellent - among other things I have already had the opportunity to listen to industry experts such as BP's Group CFO Brian Gilvary, ex-Goldman Sachs's Chief Economist Jim O'Neill (who coined BRIC, MINT), etc and network with the recruiters from Citi, Credit Suisse, McKinsey, etc on campus.
If you are thinking of applying and have any pressing questions, feel free to ask me - I am happy to help within my capacity Also, there are some videos on YouTube under Manchester Business School which may give you an idea of Manchester MBA and its programme structure.
A little bit about the class profile: 104 students, 33 nationalities, about 1/3rd women Backgrounds are various, from management consulting (PwC, Accenture, etc), financial services including accountancy (Citi, EY, etc), general industry (CocaCola, etc) to qualified surgeon and a national newspaper's business journalist!
Good luck with your applications
p.s - If I don't reply soon, please bear with me as we do have a very heavy work load (consultancy project (Not-for-Profit, for a real client with a real business issue), competitions' prep, various companies' recruitment presentations & networking at school which sometimes run into late evening, and all the studying inbetween!)

Hi Nave,
I have just been offered a place for Manchester's Full time MBA programme, starting in 2015 September.
I have realised that there are a number of scholarships available for the programme and I was wondering whether you have any experience on the scholarship applications. If you do have some experience, could you please tell me: 1) How hard the MAT (Manchester Admissions Test) is in comparison with GMAT? 2) What the Assessment Day for the scholarship is like?
Thank you and hopefully, I can meet you in person next year!

Hi mp6553,
Congratulations on securing a place at MBS. Regarding your queries:
MAT - if you have taken the GMAT, I doubt you need MAT. I suggest you speak to the admissions team for more clarity on this.
Scholarship - I was offered the merit scholarship (which every applicant is considered by default through the admission process). I did not separately apply for further scholarship (in hindsight I should have!), so I am not sure what the assessment day is like. Send me a private message with your contact details, I can put you in touch with a classmate of mine who went for the assessment day and secured scholarship to cover the entire fee.
