Thanks for the additional info. Definitely mention the singing hobby - that's great.
I still think what I said earlier holds true - your best shots will be in the 20-40 range. Take a look at some of the schools I mentioned earlier and look for others in that range on ranking reports. Do some research on each school and where they place graduates in terms of location / industry.
Good luck!

Extracurricular : singing is my hobby. I have participated in Indian Idol, a popular singing competition and cleared an internal round of the event.
started an initiative to plant trees around the globe. The initiative is called "plant a tree on every birthday". The members of the initiative plant trees on their respective birth dates.

Would like to know more specific Bschools and my chances.

Hi there!

Well, there's some info missing that would be helpful to have to fully evaluate your profile. Especially your bachelor's degree GPA / university and the type of work experience you've had (different companies, company size, promotions, any international exposure, any team lead/management experience, etc.).

But just based on the basic info you've provided, I'd look at schools in the 20-40 range. With your interests in business / IT, check out schools like Foster, Rice, Wisconsin, Purdue, etc.

As far as major, that's going to vary by school. Some schools have a lot of options and some have a more limited set. Something like Information Systems, Business Analysis, or even just General Management would likely make most sense given your goals. And yes, I would assume that Business Analysis and Business Analytics are basically the same.

Hope this helps!

Hi Team,

I am applying in round 1. Currently, I am working as an IT engineer. My short term post MBA goal is to work as a business analyst where I would act as a bridge between business and IT services. I would be understanding customer's business requirements and problems and solve their problems by bringing my team together and providing a right IT solution. I have an understanding of how IT works but need to have an in and out knowledge of business.

Total ex at time of joining the B School - 4years and 3 months.
Extra curricular - Strong
GMAT 690
nationality Indian

1) what are the safe and stretch schools for me?
2) What would be right major for me? Also I want to know if Business Analytics major is same as Business analysis.

Regards,
Anmol
