MS finance 1 yr????

MS finance 1 yr???? [#permalink] New post 08 Jul 2007, 18:33
Hi everyone..i am new to here but have been following the forum as much as i can. I am taking GMAT in AUG. anyways, coming to the topic, I hear every one saying MS finance being 1 yr??? i have applied a univ called SAM HOUSTON STATE UNIV here in houston. its a very small univ actually. infact they did not need GMAT for MS finance but i wanted to write to imporve my odd if i plan to get into some better univ.

its a 2 yr degree for MS finance there...so I am kind of confusd wen u guys say its 1 yr degree everywhere..anyone care to shed some light?

well it's 1 year in a lot of places, and 2 years in some places. In Europe I was accepted in a 2 year program at HEC in Paris, but it was for a master in management and I could focus in finance if I wanted to my second year.
It all depends on the school and program, especially since MS in Finance are a rather new thing in the States.

I'll be doing my MSc in Finance and Accounting at the London School of Economics next year, the program is just a year.
