Hey Guys,
I'm relatively new here and only discovered the site the same day I took the GMAT. Obviously if I was searching around the net about GMAT stuff then I didn't do as well as I wanted.
I totally choked on the Vebal and knew it within the first ten questions. The math was easier than I thought it was going to be but I got some pretty complex questions that slowed me down. A few triangles and circles but nothing compared to Kaplan or Challenges here.
Looking back, I was way overconfident. I studied for the test for a while using all Kaplan materials and not enough
OG. Manhatten GMAT materials and
OG 11 (and verbal) are on the way.
The biggest problem I think I had was not fully understanding why I got a question right or wrong. If I had a question right, especially when guessing, it's important to really put in your own words why you got the question right.
Actually, if you look at woohoo's (damit) post about his first GMAT experience...that's pretty much the mistakes that I made. I'm going to implement his plan of study and hopefully I'll be making a post like his in about 6 weeks.
I wish I had found this place a few months ago. Great stuff here guys.
BTW, you fellas from the Ukraine...I've been to your country. I visited Sevastopol last year. Loved every minute of it.
