Congratulations on your score.

How did you find RC? I'm taking GMAT in 10 days. I have been hearing scary things about RC. Did you get any crazy long passages on the GMAT? I think their longest is supposed to be 60 -65 lines.

Good luck with the apps.

Thanks for your reply. Hmmmm... I seriously think what you get for RC has to do with luck. My background is in Psychology. As such, reading passages on studies or more sociology basis are pretty ok for me, but when it becomes too scientific or historical, then i do tend to get a bit overwhelmed.

During my test, I had different types of passages. Nothing too long. Was just about right. But I think it's important to try and focus. I remember having to jolt myself to focus on the passage at hand coz I was losing my concentration towards the end. I think it's really important to answer the question. I tried not to worry too much about the passage. Even if there were things I didn't understand, i just re-read the passage or tried to look for phrases in the question that appeared in the passage.

Hmmm... can't remember the exact splitup.. I think I had 4-5 RC passages with 3-5 questions each. So we're looking at about 16-18 RC questions.

2. RC length was ok. Not sure the number of lines, but none stood out as extremely long. At most maybe one that is longer than the rest. I think the passages fitted about two-thirds of the left-hand side screen. Difficulty level - as explained above, i think it has to do with subject matter for me - it's easier if I can understand or put the passage into context. :)

3. SC - Sorry, really can't recall. But I believe it would be a mixture of both, perhaps more idiom and subject-verb agreement.
