I work as a Global Product Manager in a Biotech company in the Midwest. I have an advanced degree in Microbiology from India that I acquired in 1985. I worked as a Product Manager and Marketing Manager in the medical diagnostic industry and have over 17 years experience. I am 43 and now seriously considering pursuing admission to a MBA program. Since my job requires traveling, I would like to either pursue a part-time or Executive MBA instead of a full time MBA.

I have yet to start the application process but not certain of my choice between an Executive MBA or a Part Time MBA Program. Can you please advise?

If you have a lot of business experience, an executive MBA may make more sense. Also, if you like what you're doing and want to keep doing it, then an exec MBA may be a better fit. But, if you're looking to make a change in your career or have less actual business experience (and more science/engineering experience, for example), then a part-time MBA may make more sense.

Also, some companies will sponsor their employees in one program or another. Usually, companies are more willing to sponsor their employees in exec MBA programs, since they're investing in that person's management potential. But some companies are also willing to sponsor employees in part-time programs.
