Hello, I am an international student from China. I am considering 3 graduate schools which admitted me. I'd greatly appreciate if you could give any advices on these schools.
There are Oxford's Master of Financial Economics, Columbia's Master of Operation Research and UIUC's Master of Financial Engineering. It is a pity that Stanford and MIT putted me in waiting list.. so what I can do right now is to choose among them.
My plan is to learn one semester in one of those programs then apply to Stanford... However.. Stanford is my eternal dream school! What's your opinion? For Columbia recruited 200 people in this year so I am afraid that I can not get enough contact with Professors to get a reference.... Oxford is too short.. Just 9 months and it is in UK education system... UIUC is fantastic.. it recruited just 30 students in this year so I can be familiar with professors ASAP. But the location and reputation of UIUC is not so gorgeous than that 2 schools in China.
My academic target is to study a PhD in Finance... and it is not my first option to work in the U.S. hope this helps..
I want to hear from you.. Thanks a lot!
