Hey guys,

Glad you started this thread. It's great to know that I was wanted by the program that is most aligned with my own personal values and goals. Will certainly make the holidays a bit less stressful - despite being $4000 poorer from the deposit I just submitted.

Congrats again everyone!

There are resources through the college and outside the college. There isn't a whole lot of talk about it because the first term is so intense. The second year is not as intense so that will probably be the best time to take lessons. The good thing about Tuck and Dartmouth in general is that there are so many resources available and if something does not exist then the MBA program office will do what it can to help.

If I wanted to be put in touch with Tuck alums in my city (i.e. DC) to ask them some questions, do you think the admissions office (or whoever the appropriate point person at Tuck is) would be cool with helping me seek these alums out?

Thanks.

Yes, I would think so. There is something called Tuck Connections, but since you are admitted I'm sure there is a more direct route. I would definitely send admissions an email and I'm sure they would be happy to put you in touch with an alum. Tuck alum are great.

Does anyone have any insight into the pros/cons of bringing a car? Is public transport available to/from NY or Boston? My car is paid off and I would like to sell it, but think I might regret not having it in Hanover.

Having a car always helps but it is not critical. There are students with vehicles always willing to help and the Dartmouth Coach is available for trips to Boston and New York. The Coach can be a pain at times. It's more likely that you will need a car in your 2nd year since you have to live off-campus.

Any ideas when the Tuck 2014 forum will open?

The website says "The Tuck 2014 forum will be available in January after current students return from the holiday break. Watch this web site and your email for updates on the opening date."

By my count... they should be back from break by now, right? Am I missing something?
