If you're looking just for SC go for the egmat course .

Thanks for the feedback.

My questions about the e-gmat course is it seems like it's geared at non-native speakers. I'm born and raised in NY, so english is my primary (and only) language. How does the program work for non-international people? I'm much more interested in learning how to spot and answer questions than an elaborate grammar lesson - the former will suit me better for the GMAT.

I too am hesitant on the cost of the gmatpill. I've started using the MGMAT SC book while deciding about the video approach. It's definitely helpful so far. My main concern is that it might be slower, and time is a premium. However, it's also supposed to be the best book on the subject. The MGMAT SC book so far is helpful (only a couple chapters in) but the explanations for OG questions aren't always as useful as I'd like - they seem to focus too heavily on the grammatical terminology)

That was my problem. The OG’s explanations for SC are dry and boring and I didn’t think I needed to know all that extra crap just to get through 15 or so SCs on the test. I figured just knowing the major items and being great at them would be much better.

Get this book from Aristotle (https://www.aristotleprep.com/products/# ... ct=8709069). It’s their experts one minute explanations for the SCs in the OG. They don’t go into the useless (for the GMAT anyway) nonsense that the OG explanations get into. I have learned quite a bit from this book and it has helped me improve in SC. I only wish Aristotle made a book for the SCs in the verbal supplement.

Good luck. That’s a great score btw…

For SC , I think the Aristotle prep SC grail is really good . I like it because it's very concise and to the point .Plus this book also has 100 questions right at the end and if cover all these questions at the end , you should be fine for the SC section.

Thanks for the replies. I've gotten through about 6 chapters of MGMAT SC and so far am doing better than I was before. I'm going to look into the aristotle book as well, especially if it could yield similar results in less time.
