Re: IE Interview Tips [#permalink]
Hi!

I'm from Germany as well. My IE interview was pretty similar. Ironically I had to go through two of them. Apart from usual question I got some of these:

- What is better to be effective or efficient?
- What is 99/2? (amaizing)
- What would I improve on the IE Business School?

Hi Hegemon,

Do you mind sharing your experience with the second interview? Did you get accepted to IE?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Re: IE Interview Tips [#permalink]
Hi Yowie91,

yes, I got accepted and am currently enrolled. The second interview was some kind of clarification of several points from my CV. For example IE wanted to know why I did recently change my employer. Further questions were about my people leading experience as well as how would I act in particular hypothetical situations.

All in all, the second interview was clearly shorter (it took only 30 minutes - in comparison with more than 1 hour in the 1th) and less formal.

I hope it helps. Don't hesitate to contact me in case of further questions.

Best,
Hegemon

Hi Hegemon,

Thanks for your fast reply. Did you have experience in finance prior your enrollment in IE? They asked me several financial questions, which I don't think I answered very well due to my lack of experience in Finance. Hopefully, I'll do better in the second round. How's life as an IE MIF student? And how's the job offer after you graduate?

Thanks for all your advice and insight!

Hi!

Finance? Isn't it a MBA-Forum? I applied for the International MBA program, not for the Masters in Finance.

Thanks
Waiting for responses

Hi Faheem,

there is no preference of neither test. If you do well in IEGAT there's no need for GMAT. Otherwise you have to take the GMAT scoring about 680.
In terms of the interview I would advise you to be very well informed about IE School and your own CV / plans.

Best,
Hegemon

Faheem,

read my posts above. The majority of questions was about IE MBA (Why IE, why now, targets) and my CV.

I strongly encourage to read Montauk's "how to get into the top mba programs". All the questions are detailed there.

Hey Faheem,

I applied but did't get any scholarship. The total estimate for tuition and living expenses is about 80k €.

Dear Hegemon

I think what you are saying is too much are you talking about master in management or mba. Tuition fees for master in management is 30200 euro and living expenses would amount to 15000 euros at ,max for 1 year. You are saying too much dear just have a look and correct me if i am wrong.

Kind regards
Faheem

I'm talking about MBA program. The program itself costs about 60K. Additionally you need ca. 1.5K each month on living expenses. Madrid is a pricy city.
