Which of the following most logically completes the passage?

Garnet and RenCo each provide health care for their employees. Garnet pays for both testing of its employees’ cholesterol levels and treatment of high cholesterol. This policy saves Garnet money, since high cholesterol left untreated for many years leads to conditions that require very expensive treatment. However, RenCo dose not have the same financial incentive to adopt such a policy, because ______.

E is best, since it provides information about why RenCo doesn't adopt such a policy. Why should they bother themselves if no one stays long enough to need expensive treatment.

the OA is E...Thanks for the explanation. I dont know what I got it wrong. But when I first thought it was E as well, but then I remembered how the CR tips says not to think too much.

If that's the case, when do you know to think more than you should?

E is best. As allabout points out, it shows that RenCo has no incentive to do what Garnet does.

Yup, E it is.

If the employees don't stay as long, RenCo wouldn't have to deal with the expensive treatments of untreated high cholesterol.
