Cornell Applicants - PLEASE HELP

Cornell Applicants - PLEASE HELP [#permalink] New post   05 Oct 2006, 19:24
I have a wierd logistical issue.

I've filled out the Cornell app, but when I got to "print application" I see questions I cannot find anywhere on the application itself.

For example:

Quote:
Residency
If you do not live in the state of New York, or if you are living in New York solely for the purpose of securing an education, your home state (or country if not in the U.S.):
State (if U.S.):
Country (if not U.S.):


This is nowhere to be found on the app.

GMAT Times Taken:


Also cannot find this anywhere.

For some really odd reason my questions show up twice, but only with the answer once:

Essay Question 2: Required - (400 words)
What career do you plan to pursue upon completing the MBA and why? How will the Johnson School help you achieve this goal?

I just want to make sure this isnt something crazy on my end - other applicants, did you notice this? Am I missing the GMAT question somehow? I've looked a half-dozen times but can't find it anywhere.

Mine is showing up the same way and I submitted it last week, my status shows "application complete and currently under review", so I wouldn't worry about it.

I saw that question on the main body of the app... it is related to the scholarship for full tution, room and board. I would assume that there is preference for NY residents... At any rate it is in there somewhere... I anwsered it.

I wonder if it only shows up if you pick living in NY. It was nowhere on my application at all.

I guess I'll call them again tomorrow and let them know.

What state did you pick?

Did you have the GMAT question?

Just wanna say don't worry about it. I submitted my Cornell app about 10 days ago and I also had the same issues. My interview request already came in on Friday the 6th - so, no biggie.

Green, can you give us some insight as how did you receive your interview invitation? Can you copy and paste what your status reads from the Johnson website? Mine read : Your application is complete and will be forwarded to the Committee for review.
Also, can you please share your stats. Thanks.

Rhyme, as I remember, there were also a couple of questions regarding your ethnicity and background that showed in the paper application but I didnt see them on the online application.

Mine says:

Your application has been received and is being processed. If you submitted paper recommendations or transcripts, it will take several weeks to update your Status Report. We appreciate your patience while we process your application.

Mine said the same before they received the LOR and confirmed the GMAT score. Once they receive the LOR, I think they forward the info the the committee for review. Good Luck.

No "insights" to my interview, I just submitted my application early is all. As we are all aware Cornell has a very fast turnaround time, so I expect everyone to get an invite soon. Good luck.

LORS were both in, but its only been a few days, so whatever.

Does anyone know if Cornell gets back to you on Nov 17 or BY Nov 17?
