Beth and Jim each recieved a salary increase . If Jim's salary was increased by the same percent as beth's salary, did Beth recieve a greater dollar increase in salary with jim ?

1. Before the increases , Jim's salary was greater than $25,000.
2. Before the increases , Jim's salary was 4/5th of Beth's salary.

Before Increase:
Jim-> $25000
Beth -> 5/4 * (Jims salary) => $31250

Now the tricky party is we don't need to know the absolute values of salary.

Stmt 2 is sufficient to get the answer, if Jim's salary is 4/5th of Beth's salary then clearly Beth's salary is more than Jim's salary and thus a same % increase would recieve a greater dollar increase.

first statement gives us no information on Beth's Salary and it actually doesn't say anything other than Jim makes more than 25k so he could make 26k or 275k.

second statement tells us who makes more money so we know who gets the bigger raise.
