I think its A .

take any consecutive integers |x-y| will be 1 , always .

can you expand on that?

I though |x-y| = 1

is x-y = 1
y-x = 1

2-1 = 1
1-2 = -1

what am I doing wrong?

1. x and y are consecutive integers

2. x is even and y is odd

This is a pretty straight forward A.

Just test any consecutive integers. Positive or negative, and even with 0.

2: this is obvs. insuff.

2-1 = 1
1-2 = -1 ; your final answer is +1 or -1 and if you take mod of that answer will always be +1 ; |-1| =1 ; |1|=1 and so A is sufficient
